A shiny review

It’s better than cash.

When a professional book reviewer describes your novel as “…a rocking good time with an amazing narrator who captured the 1970s rock music scene,” yep, that stuff is better than money.

It truly is better than cash when someone writes this about your novel, “Stabb Bell, and by extension Michael Di Lauro, turns what could be a hokey cliched melodrama into a thought provoking introspective engrossing novel about fame, love, identity, artistic pursuits, and maintaining one’s own individual voice in the face of change, conformity, and control. It is truly a rocking good time.”

That’s what why we write, isn’t it? Not to be rich. Not to be famous. But to be read! And when someone takes the time to read your work, and then takes even more time to comment on it, well yeah, that’s pay-dirt, baby.

So thank you Julie Porter and Reedsy for posting your shiny review, and for making my day.
